Real Estate Broker

  • Real Estate Brokers often own or manage real estate agencies. They have additional training and licensing requirements and can work independently or hire other real estate agents to work for them.

Real Estate Agent

  • Real Estate Agents Real estate agents are licensed to help people buy, sell, and rent real estate and must work for a sponsoring broker or brokerage firm.

Realtist

  • A Realtist, is a licensed real estate broker or Agent. They are National Association of Real Estate Brokers members, distinguishing them from realtors.

Realtor

  • A Realtor is a licensed real estate agent or broker member of the National Association of Realtors.

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers and the National Association of Realtors are trade membership organizations that provide professional education, support, and guidance.

Many real estate brokers and agents are members of both organizations.
